Genre: Ambient

CFM029 / Louigi Verona / Jan 6, 2012

Louigi Verona returns to the label with his second entry in the Droning series. A long floating piece of Ambient music, this is a tune to get lost in. A single tune that doesn’t feel like it rushes to the end, nor does it feel like you’re never wanting the tune to end. If you liked other releases from Louigi on the label, you’ll be in love with this second entry in the Droning series.

CFM028 / lilmanjs & Sage Taylor / Dec 12, 2011

Chronos: The Battle For is a 10 track album that is designed to be a soundtrack sampler for a fictional RPG. The project was inspired by the game Pier Solar and The Great Architects. The album starts off with the quiet and moody piano track Lumi, and then goes into an acoustic guitar and strings track Explorers in The Forest. The album is a great Ambient album to relax to, and should remind you of the olden days of RPGs. A great album for lovers of Ambient and video games.

CFM027 / Louigi Verona / Sep 30, 2011

Louigi Verona returns to the label for another release, this time starting off a series of releases entitled Droning. Droning is an ongoing project to produce a great number of drone recordings of praiseworthy duration and extreme static nature. It is also intentionally positioned in no particular way. It is not announced as a work of art, nor it is presented as not a work of art. In fact, the only thing said about “droning” is that it is a project to create certain type of audio recordings. What you get are those audio recordings. How you use them and how you understand them is up to you.

CFM026 / lilmanjs / Jul 21, 2011

A Chance of Weather is the first album that lilmanjs started work on back in late 2009. The album features 12 tracks of IDM and Ambient music, as it was designed to be half IDM and half Ambient to flow very nicely. You can see how far lilmanjs came in music making just by listening from start to finish – from his first track ever, Blue Skies Turning Grey, to later tracks like Interlude (Sky Guitar) and Peacefull Weekend. The album ends with the epic 15 minute track Lakeside Reflections In Spring (Winter into Spring Mix). The album should please both Ambient lovers and IDM lovers.

CFM025 / Kogyo / Jun 4, 2011

Kogyo brings us deep Ambient soundscapes that are sure to please anyone who likes Ambient music. Flowing synths and pads with strings in a few parts meld to create soothing music that any Ambient music lover can like. Songs like Dark Space and Cassini bring about a slightly darker side to the music but it all ends with a light, strings filed track named Ringsjon.

CFM020 / Louigi Verona / Jan 16, 2011

This release is Louigi Verona’s second effort on Cold Fiction Music. It contains only 1 song, but it is great Dronescape music from Louigi that we’ve come to love. This release is about the troposphere, which is the lowest portion of Earth’s atmosphere. Most of the phenomena we associate with day-to-day weather occurs in the troposphere. This composition is a lot about hovering, visualizing sound and observation. Louigi also recommends that while it is absolutely fine to listen to the tune in the background, the greatest experience is to listen to it carefully, in a room with good speakers or even better with your headphones. By giving this sound landscape your full attention, you are guaranteed to take one of the most curious adventures through sound, imagination and the heights of the troposphere.

CFM019 / Bound Of Reflection / Dec 3, 2010

This release is the third conceptual album from Bound Of Reflection. The tracks have a light and atmospheric style, dedicated to the different seasons of nature and the time of day. The compositions are full of many deep pads, pleasant timbre, and have a relaxed atmosphere. This gives the album a general mood and integrity, without a loss of individuality and unique ideas of each individual track. The final track, The Glow, is a minimalist end to the work.

CFM012 / Louigi Verona / Apr 27, 2010

This release is our first double MP3 release. This means that if it was on CD it would fill up 2 CDs. This album comes from Louigi Verona and is minimal ambient music that guides you through space and through the peaceful parts of earth. Drones of Nature was made in 2008, but hasn’t found a home till this year and we are proud to release it.

CFM010 / lilmanjs / Mar 25, 2010

Sunrise in Space is all about piano and how it can sound over a long period of time. Each of the songs on this album are very long but do a good job of keeping you interested. The album features only 3 songs, but each song is very long and drawn out. If you like your ambient slow and dreamy, and with piano, this is for you. Inspired by the radio program Hearts of Space this takes you on a journey like you’re floating through space.

CFM008 / Various Artists / Feb 20, 2010

A long time coming this release is the first release that features songs from artists on the label and a few who are being introduced as artists on the label. Featuring everything from Downtempo to Psy-Trance and Ambient this release should suit everyone. Iced Over World introduces Riatsu, and the solo debut of Metylonia (one half of Psymachine). Iced Over World really shows off the talented artists on Cold Fiction Music while showing how different the music styles are.

CFM003 / lilmanjs / Sep 18, 2009

Fading Starlight is the first album from lilmanjs, who is also the head of Cold Fiction Music. Made throughout 2009, the 5 songs on here are inspired by lots of the stuff on Hearts of Space and by ambient composer Jonn Serrie. Some of the songs on the album were experiments that turned into great songs, while others were thought out and made over many weeks. The album clocks in at 37 minutes and 52 seconds.
