CFM083 / Outward Roots / Jun 27, 2016

After two successful EPs, Outward Roots is pleased to finally release their first LP titled “Moonlit Trees”.

Almost as if it came straight out of the 90s Techno scene alongside albums like AFX’s “Selected Ambient Works” & LFO’s classic “Frequencies”, this album combines lush soundscapes with stripped back, to-the-point drum patterns making this album minimal dance music in the purist form.

CFM078 / HiKE / Mar 11, 2016

HiKE is a brand new artist to the label and brings his own brand of Dub Techno infused with field recordings from transit stations in Germany. In his own words:
Deutsche Bahn, means German railway and is also the name of the government owned company for train traffic in Germany.
The tracks on this EP are based on field recordings I have made on rail and subway stations in 4 German cities. Many of the sounds are made from mangling these samples.

EP2

The second release by Outward Roots showcases a minimal sound focused more on the Ambient side of the duo. Minimal beats flow in and out of this 3 track Ep and could almost be called entirely Ambient. Two different tracks highlight the ever changing sound ending with a Version track that removes the beat completely.

CFM048 / Various Artists / Jun 29, 2013

After two years of releases in the Futur[e]cho series, the series returns once again with its longest release yet. Getting somewhat away from the goal of the series, pairing lesser known artists with bigger names in the scene, last years release got away from that. This years release has a bunch of artists you’ve probably not heard of that need to be heard along with some bigger talent you’ve already heard of. This years release also instills more Ambient Techno than Dub Techno, but there is a good mix of both styles on the release. This year’s release features several of the artists that have appeared on both releases, returning artists from the very first release in the series along with new faces. The series strives to get people who might be interested in either Dub Techno or Ambient Techno into both. Enjoy the sonic soundscapes that encompass what is Futur[e]cho 2013.
