Researching The Rings features never before released tracks from James & Owen as well as two revisions of previously released singles.
Releases featuring Outward Roots
Two artists on the label return in unique fashion. Taking the Ambient nature of the Techno works that Outward Roots strives to make, Substak lends his own sound to 5 of the tracks from their first album. Substak morphs the tracks into Experimental and Ambient goodness that shows off his many talents. This is a digital release version of the bonus Cd that comes with a purchase of Moonlit Trees on Cd over at Run On Recordings.
After two successful EPs, Outward Roots is pleased to finally release their first LP titled “Moonlit Trees”.
Almost as if it came straight out of the 90s Techno scene alongside albums like AFX’s “Selected Ambient Works” & LFO’s classic “Frequencies”, this album combines lush soundscapes with stripped back, to-the-point drum patterns making this album minimal dance music in the purist form.
The second release by Outward Roots showcases a minimal sound focused more on the Ambient side of the duo. Minimal beats flow in and out of this 3 track Ep and could almost be called entirely Ambient. Two different tracks highlight the ever changing sound ending with a Version track that removes the beat completely.
